The best USB mic for under $100 is definitely this

https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATR2500-USB-Cardioid-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B004QJREXM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473598564&sr=8-1&keywords=atr+2500

grab a pop filter and a stand and you're golden.

I've been using the Samson Meteor Mic for almost a year now, mostly for technical training that I do via Skype.  I was initially looking at the Blue Yeti Mic as it came highly recommended, but the Samson is half the price and I really can't find anything I don't like about it.

It's around $70 on Amazon and has low enough power requirements that you can connect it to an iPad using the camera connection kit.  Something I couldn't have done with the Yeti.
