Bad CPU Temps?

elbarto.2

Hello!

Even though I am pretty sure of it, I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.  At idle (in BIOS), my CPU is at 52 degrees Celsius, and my CPU cooler's fan RPM is around 1300.  Sometimes, the temp goes up to around 65 degrees and the fan RPM goes to 1500.  Like I said, I am pretty sure this is bad, but I might as well ask.  My CPU is a 6700K and my cooler is a Cooler Master Vortex Plus.  If you recommend I get a new CPU cooler, I would like something anywhere between $40 and $70 USD.  Also, I would prefer if I could pick it up in a physical store like Micro Center.

Thanks!

Edit:  It's now at 65 and 1600.

what is your ambient temp? I think you should change cooler or add more fans to your case for better air flow.

Phanteks ph-tc14pe is what im recommending.

I have no clue, but it seems a bit warmer than normal, but I don't have any overhead fans on.

Your CPU will never go lower than ambient temp. If your room is 50 C your CPU will be at least 50 C.

If you need a new cooler, the be quiet! PURE ROCK is currently 24.90 on Newegg.

Thank you for the cooler recommendations, but they're a little too expensive.  Yes, I understand that I will pay more for better usually, but I really want to stick to my buget area that I stated.

Do you have any recommendations for a certain brand or type of case fans?  Also, where should I put them?  Also, my RAM might be a little too tall for the dual-tower cooler.

Thanks!

Fractal Venturi series fans is really good, and cryorig c7 or h7 would be good.

You should try reseating your cooler and seeing if that lowers your temps.
