Disabling GPU acceleration

Is there any way to disable GPU acceleration in Firefox, or any other web browsers for that matter? And is there a way to disable it for flashplayer in said browser?

 

I ask because my water cooled nano has no water, and will overheat if I use a flashplayer, but I have crap to do, and I need to get it done.

I don't know how to disable the GPU acceleration. You may try to lower the clock speed altogether with your driver.

But can't you just unplug the Graphics card and use the iGPU? (If your water cooling isn't custom)  That is way safer.
