HDR will sapple in over time, but currently it is mostly on tv's, allthough there are some monitors already I think. Thing about HDR is that you have to see the difference. But a good HDR is a visable difference.

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.

Games have had HDR since 2004. The problem is that it still has to tone map to an 8bpp image which can still causes some coloring artifacts. The only thing HDR that Sony and Microsoft are bringing to the table is that it maps to 10bpp images.

 

Which seems kind of unfortunate that it may not work on already existing 10bpp LCD panels.

 

But I mean you can see a difference if the game has HDR rendering:
