Setup NAS with wireless dongle

Hi everyone,

 

I am planning to get Synology ds216j NAS. However, at the present moment, I have no access to the router physically, i can only connect to the internet wirelessly. So i  see the specs of ds216j, there is an option on wifi dongle. So i would like to ask for advice on that matter. 

May i setup the NAS with a compatible wireless dongle instead of an ethernet cable. While maintaining the functionality of the NAS where i can access it wirelessly? Or is there any other options?

Just plug the ethernet directly to your computer, tweak your IPv4 settings and access the drive directly. Then setup the wifi dongle and go full wireless.
