they have a fairly warm sound, with a fair soundstage. They have good audio quality, but remember that they are open so they will leak sound.

^what he said + they are pretty comfy and light which is a bonus for headphones built for such high definition.

I'm not really an audiophile, but I'd like to get more into quality headphones. Would you guys recommend any other?

well I would recommend that you try and find out what kind of sound you like. I like a more neutral and analytical or flat sound, while my friend likes a more warm and "lush" sound. A good way to find what sound you like is to try a lot of different headphones

Well we don't really have that in Sweden, not for the headphones I'd like to test at least. I totally get that you should test your way forward for the ultimate pair that suits ME, but I simply can't unless I want to get beats or whatever.

So out of personal preference, which do you recommend?

HD600 a fairly neutral sounding pair of headphones

HD650 a more warm sounding pair of headphones, with matched drivers

K712 they have a very nice and deep bass extendsion, while still having a nice clear treble. The treble might be a bit too much for some people. They are fairly neutral, but a bit on the warm side

K7xx mostly the same as the K712, just with a bit more bass

Fidelio x2 they have a more "fun" sound, with a mid-bass boost and what most people would call a sparkly treble, they give up a true bass extension to have the mid-bass boost, but it also makes the sound a bit more "fun"

HE 400s this is entry level planar headphones, they sound a lot like the HD600, but hifiman are not the best ones when it comes to build quality

DT990 They have a bass boost and a treble boost, the treble can be a bit too much for some people, but the headphones them selfs are pretty comfy

Disclaimer: A neutral sound can be a bit boring to some people.

Those are pretty much the headphones I would recommend looking at if you are looking to get into higher end audio.
