Does hyper sli work???

So i've been seeing price drops in the gtx 660 and I was thinking about buying one but, my mobo only supports crossfire, but it has 2 8x pcie slot so would hyper sli work with the latest drivers?

I am not sure, but I wouldn't risk it. Either drop the 660 for an AMD card or get a new mobo. That's what I did.

It is some aftermarket software implication of SLI for motherboards that don't support it AFAIK.

Google it, someone else has been bound to try it. Usually a board that supports Crossfire or SLI will support either regardless if they're stated or not.

 

I believe SLI can work on 8x/8x, just not below 4x.

Boards with chipset below 900 don't support SLI, what board and CPU do you have?
