Hi,

I'm looking for a new keyboard, but one with a display. Having owned such a device for almost a decade I really like it.
To explain why, here is where I come from. The first keyboard I purchased that isn't a crappy $15,- default keyboard is the Logitech MX 5500 ( http://www.tonymacx86.com/attachments/logitech-cordless-des-r95751-1-jpg.7833/ )

This thing rocked a couple of things which I really really enjoyed. First off, it was wireless. Then a must because of a weird desk, now not so much anymore. Second, the media controls (must have). Numpad is also a must for me, and last but not least. A display. Sure, it's just a calculator-like display. But it showed the time, which I found very useful. And, a feature I still miss dearly, a calculator in the keyboard! You could do simple calculations with the numpad, it showed on the display, and with ctrl + v you could past the result onto the computer! I used that a LOT back when pixels and CSS were BFF's.

Next, enjoying the keyboard (but it failed after about 4 years) I got the Logitech G19 (

While it didn't have the calculator it did have the display, which is probably the main reason I bought it. Still had most of the things I want, media controls, time display, numpad, etc. It did include some others I really like. The RAM/CPU tracking on the keyboard was a nice addition, the few games that did support it, did so mostly quite nice and it had a USB hub, which is a must to connect my logitech dongle without much input lag (seriously, for some weird reason, my mice just had a 1,5 second input lag when the dongle was in my case, just beneath my desk).

I didn't like the exclusion of the calculator thingy, or the very very flimsy wrist rest.

And for about a month or so, I now have to smash the keyboard to make the display programs work (which also use up more RAM and CPU than I would've liked, but that's not really that big of a problem).

And thus, I come to now. I need a new keyboard because smashing it will only work so long. I really like the clock for late evening full-screen apps, and not much room to put a real clock on the desk. If, somewhere, the calculator function does exist I would love to have it back, and a USB dongle would be lovely to have. Also, the wrist rest should be sturdy, if possible.

Never had an mechanical keyboard, so I don't have experience with that.

Usecase: mostly typing/coding. Some gaming, probably mostly shooters.

And, just for the completion. My Mice history: MX Revolution -> MX Performance -> MX Master

I hope some of you guys know a keyboard I can upgrade to!
