Not sure if this was a good idea or not to start a new thread but it was mentioning to start a new one instead of reviving

 

so its been a while since I did my pc build back in March of 2014 and I've changed quite a few things from before, some parts stayed the same but most likely I'll upgrade them

my last build when I started was this

 

Old Build List (March 2015)

• CPU: AMD FX-8370 4.0 GHz 8 Core Black Edition
• Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+
• Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600
• Storage: Western Digital 1TB Blue Caviar
• Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX960 2GB SSC
• Power Supply: EVGA 500B 500W Power Supply
• CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
• Case: Diablotek CPA-6180 (Evo III) ATX Mid Tower

Current Build (Sept 2016)

• CPU: AMD FX-8370
• Motherboard:  Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0
• Memory: Crucial Ballistix 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3-1600
• Storage: Western Digital 1TB Blue Caviar (Storage & Games),120GB Kingston SSD V300 Series (OS), 500GB OCZ Vertex 460A (Soon to be OS only)
• Video Card: 2 x MSI Rx480 Gaming X 8GB (Crossfire)
• Power Supply: Corsair CX750 750W
• CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 54.0 CRM Liquid CPU Cooler
• Case: NZXT H440 Matte Black

 

I feel like its not much but I've noticed a big change.

What do you guys think? like or not like?

please leave advice on upgrades or other things

That is a pretty sweet build. If you are planning on upgrading it I would wait for Zen.

That would be great though I'm wondering if it'll be compatible with the current mother boards?

I'm pretty sure you need am4 socket not am3+

Yeah I saw the new specs on it. Kinda a good thing and bad at the same time.
