Hi. I have been having problems with my pc since i built it and now got to rplacing the PSU.

Since mine is out of stock they are offering me another one, but i feel like it is a downgrade. I wouldnt really know i just kinda dont like it and it has less connections.

Before i continue when i tried using the ATX 12v 4+4 on my PSU it didnt work i had to use the EPS 8 pin.

Offered: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001972

Could you not get anything different? Like this http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1583411&csid=_61 or this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5309345&csid=_61

I guess it's from tiger direct or something?

Thermaltake isn't really top notch and it does indeed seem like you're going backwards on the PSU :/

Don't worry if your rewriting it twice. But any how I've watched an un-boxing of both PSU and they seem fairly similar I'm probably going continue reading about them from reviewers etc but they're evenly stacked.

if this is the only substitute for your broken psu it should be more than enough to be honest. If your running a single graphics card, cpu ram etc the power drawn from the psu80+bronze should be just under 500w-450w maybe a tad bit lower...In the specification for the replacement in the event you are running more graphics cards it can run higher the the wattage stated up to 1020w Check in the specification you gave for "Peak ouput capacity"

Are you planning to add more than 1 GPU in the future?

If you're just gonna stay at 1 you could ask if they could give you a 750w: (This one: http://thermaltakeusa.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001562)

But as i don't know much about their products in general i don't know if that would be a better psu for you.

No i have the option to ask for a diferent psu. I Just do not want a PSU that is not as good as the one i bought or better. And i thought that 850 was ok for 2 graphics cards.

I was thinking of getting 2 cards total with my original PSU but i thought 850 was enough

The TT TR2 RX 850w is a poor unit build by HEC. The tested 750w unit of this platform went out of specification and failed the testing at Hardware Secret before even reaching 600w. What you have been offer is a better build CWT unit that's based on the PUQ-B platform like the TX850M v1. You aren't getting a downgrade but rather an upgrade.

When you plug in a graphics cards can it go on the black inputs(molex) or does it have to go in PCI-E connectors?

Hmm, you can used a molex to PCIe adapter to power your graphic card. The TT SP-850M has four 6+2 pin PEG connectors, so you should be able to SLI/CFX without needing those molex adapters. If you are going to power three graphic cards, then you would need them.

Im not sure i explained my self right . and so i dont quite understand your answer. What i meant where the inputs in the PSU. There are 4 red and 4 black on the TR2 the modular things. Can i plug in a PCIe into one of the black inputs.http://www.advancetec.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/1250x1250/b65b7106e6199ae52d7f08f5a5033ae0/g/t/gt-1050s_1050w_80_bronze_modular_psu_14cm_fan_full_range_3_year_warranty_1.jpg

Ah, you are talking about the modular interface. I thought you was talking about one of these: http://www.systemagnostic.com/wp-uploads/2013/01/molex_pci-e.jpg

Anyways, you won't be able to do that with your PSU. It's color coded and labeled for a reason. To show you a more physical reason why it won't work, go here and zoom into the modular interface. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153106

If you look closely and compare the two set of connectors, you will noticed they are different in shape.
