I'm building a new PC and I was wondering if I could get some community feedback on my choices for everything, I have two sticks of DDR5 memory which are both 8GB. The price on PC part picker is 481$ this is not including the graphics card. I found the same processor on amazon used for around 100$ which furthermore reduces the price.  Please leave your interesting or creative responses below, this is supposed to be under 500$ so I got pretty close to my budget.

Looks fine to me, but unless you get the CPU really, really cheap, I'd recommend at least getting a newer Haswell (i5-4xxx), if not a Skylake (i5-6xxx). (Haswell if the RAM you have is DDR3, Skylake if it's DDR4.)

An i3-6100 performs almost as well as the old i5-2500.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

i5-6600, 16Gigs, ITX Corsair 250D, R9 390, 120Gig M.2 boot, 500Gig SATA SSD, no HDD

Thanks for the reply I have heard that an I3 runs really well actually too, if there is a very significant price difference I might try the i3 actually thanks

Just go for the i3 6100 and buy new RAM

Otherwise that PSU isn't a good buy

Far as the OS goes, someone had a guide on how to legit get windows installed for free, you just get the usual unactivated limitations

and get a 4 GB card no matter what you do

Edit** was gonna mention that the i3 is dual core so crysis 3 bf4 might not be great but I didnt know it did hyperthreading. So apparently its great ?

How does hyperthreading change the game of CPU's other than the cool name?

Well it means the i3 6100 is essentially a quad core so will run those games better at that low price point. But when I said apparently its great I was reffering to some positive reviews about that cpu. Apology for my confusing wording

The i3 6100 is pretty solid because of it's relatively high clock speeds and 4 threads ya, almost better than the i5 6400
