Alright so im an idiot and jumped the gun on buying a new pc because im inpatient and just wanted something to do really.but i like amd, the new build is pretty good and everything ive thrown at it its taken with ease, given i dont throw everything but the kitchen sink at it.But now i want to build an intel system to see what the fuss is all about and if i fell a difference or i like it anymore, we'll just have to see.

1. trying to keep it around $1000-$1300 US
2. mostly going to be gaming, might be doing video editing if i get around to learning and recording stuff.
3. i have one asus vg248qe 24" 1ms monitor and id like to use my vizio 40" 1080p 120hz tv for livestreaming podcasts/stuff i can only watch on my pc and not consoles
4.i have my razer taipan mouse and want a mechanical keyboard with backlighting through the key caps for night use, have win10
5. as i said i want to "upgrade" to see how the intel side is vs the amd side that ive been on for awhile now.

now the system im building to beat is as follows:

AMD fx8350 black edition at 4.2 GHz
MSI Gaming 970 mobo
XFX rx480 reference model
Samsung 850 evo 500gb ssd
16GB G.Skill aegis 1333 memory
Deepcool Gammaxx 400 cpu cooler
corsair cx600m 80+ bronze
1 Seagate 1tb st1000dm003 6 GB/s hdd
all in a DIYPC 180-bl case

Now this is what im thinking, but please let me know if you see something weird or now of something thatll do the job better or for a better price.

Phanteks Eclipse PH-EC416P Case satin black      64.99
EVGA GeForce 1070 sc gaming                              429.99
EVGA 650 GQ 80+gold semimodular                      79.99
2x8 GB G.Skill 2400 memory                                   68.99
Gigabyte GA-Z170x-UD5 rev 1.0                             170.99
I5-6400                                                                     189.99
Cooler Master rr212x                                                39.99

total=   1044.93 without tax and shipping

would probably move the storage and ssd over, so let me know what you think

only if he plays at  1080p-144hz will bottleneck

Remember to quote me (or someone else), otherwise we won't going to recieve your answers...

This is a 2.7GHz i5, not a 3.4GHz i5. It's a bottleneck in every way possible.

If you can afford one, the Corsair K70 and K65 are the best mechanical keyboards available, in my opinion, especially the RGB versions.

You really need an i7 to not bottleneck the 1070 at 1080p
