LED issue on sensor??

so i dont no alot about mouse tech to be fair,

 

but i swear the sensor has a led that lights up to help it track over the surface, but my Perixx MX-1800 LED isnt lighting up, but the sensor is still working and tracking fine?

 

so im confused??
