Hello, I have the MSI Z97 gaming 7 mb. Its dual bios.

A few months ago bios A died.  I read that by resetting the coms by removing the battery should fix it. I tried that. I took out the battery for 30 seconds and put it back in.

Didnt fix the problem.

Now bios B wont work. Its says DXE failed. The computer than shuts off.

What should I do?

Let me get this straight -- you are claiming that the BIOS' are dead, but they died spontaneously, not by you mis-flashing them or something like that?

Such an event, of a ROM chip going bad without some sort of bad flash incident, is almost unheard of.

So basically, you have a configuration data ("CMOS") problem.

30 seconds of power off on modern chips isn't going to do a lot.  Try an hour or two the next time you do it (ie: leave it overnight).

Read your motherboard manual carefully.  There may be a jumper (or two pins to short) that can clear the configuration data.  Then you should be able to go back to setting it up as though it is a factory-out-of-the-box motherboard.
