Recently i unplugged a 24 pins connector and a cpu connector from a motherboard because i need to do better cable management, i used to plugged in across the motherboard and it looks bad. After i'm done doing my cable management and plugged the connectors back, I tried to turn on the PC and nothing happens. The power button led didn't light up, and the fans didn't spin. I realize the 24 pins connector stopped working. I highly doubt it was from my psu because this psu is high tier (Evga Supernova G2 550w) so i decided to do a free on self tester that was included from the box. When i plugged in the 24 pins tester, the fan start to spin and I realize the problem is coming from my motherboard ( Asrock z170 Pro4S). Is there anyway you can fix it or do i need to replace my motherboard?

yeah unplug both of them and look at the ends to check, blow any dust out

If you have a modular pc make sure you didnt pull the cable out of the power supply (if you dont push it in a little into the psu)

If you really cant get it to work you could try shorting the power supply to run it without a motherboard connected. Note ive never done with INSIDE a system and recommend removing the entire power supply before doing so.

I dont remember which pins it was, some green and black i think BUT CHECK with google which pins to short to run psu without a motherboard.
ONLY do this as a last resort if you think its really broken, ive only done it once and am not responsible for anything blowing up

I don't really see any pins bent or has dust in it. I only used this pc for a week since i first built it. Also the power supply cables are all black, no colors.

not even on the very end of it?

As I said I highly dont reccomend it but its better than sending it back but yeah disconnect the psu from everything (or dont), switch it off at the back of the psu, unplug it from the wall
Short these two with a paper clip

Plug it in and switch it on via the back
