Hi LTT :)

I recently bought Farcry 3 and when I finally got past all the uPlay and DRM stuff I started gaming. Everything was working fine and I was running healthy at around 45-55 FPS on max settings with my OC´D 780.

But then the game frezzed and went black before a completely white screen appeared. I tried fixing it but nothing worked and I was not able to close Farcry 3 at all. I eventually managed though by turning off the process (not the task) itself in Task manager.

I then went on to checking everything on the computer using EVGA Precission X, CPU-Z, Realtemp, restarting and checking BIOS, running Unigine Valley and Unigine Heaven. Everything was normal and everything in the BIOS was still at default (CPU OCing has caused me some problems with this build :( More on that later.)

I started the game again and played for 20 minutes or so. During this many things happened:

1) It refused to work in full-screen mode and every time I put it to full-screen in the settings it went back into windowed mode.

2) It had some weird sound issues (My speakers runs everything else so I don´t think that is the case...) with the sounds being kind of like a squeak sometimes and the sound stuttering.

3) The screen froze, went black and turned white again. Both times it happened it was kind of the same sensation which happens when you get the BSOD or when a soldier draws a last dying breath...

So my thoughts are that this is something Software wise (I had some weird frame rate monitoring in the left upper corner during the entire game which appeared out of nowhere) but since I have had some bad luck and made some stupid mistakes in the BIOS (I tried OCing to 4,5 without knowing anything about voltages and so on...) I think it might be Hardware wise also...

But then again: Everything else works like a dream so I have no Idea :8 The weird yellow frame rate counter is there in every game though...

Any ideas? I am really stuck :(

How do you change that through uPlay? I can´t seem to find it :(

Also: Exactly which features will I be losing with it? Like special effects brought along with DX11?

its in the games video settings and you will just be losing a bit of visual effects
