This Build work?

adityashukzy

Hey guys, what's up?

I'm building a gaming PC and need some advice on if the build is compatible and will work like a charm. It is my first time building a PC so I may commit some stupid errors so feel free to criticize but if you do, advise me as to what is right. So, here goes..

My Build:

Intel i5 6600 FCLGA 1151 @  2.90 Ghz

Asus H110M-D - 6th Generation DDR4 MotherBoard (LGA1151, DDR4 2133Mhz, Parallel + Com + VGA + HDMI Ports, MicroATX Board)

Dragon War Sencaic Gaming Keyboard and Mouse

HP 22es Display 54.6 cm, 21.5 inch IPS LED backlit monitor

WD Blue 1TB Desktop Internal HDD

2 x Kingston DDR4 HyperX Fury 2133 Mhz DDR4 CL14 24-pin-DIMM Memory

MSI GeForce GTX 750Ti GAMING DirectX 12 N750Ti TF 2GD5/OC 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Cooler Master K380 / Window / USB 3.0 PC Case (included one Red LED Fan)

2x Cooler Master 120mm Sickleflow x LED Fan

Cooler Master V1 IC Value Thermal Compound

So, does this PC Build Work?

I know the Graphics Card is DDR5 and my Motherboard and RAM are DDR4. I hope that isn't a problem. Also, my motherboard says 2133 Mhz I think while my i5 is clocked at 2.90 Ghz. Should that be a problem? Thanks in Advance!

I'm pretty sure the 6600 is supposed to run at 3.3 GHz, not 2.9...

What is your budget? I dont see a PSU. I would also add an SSD for better boot times. Don't worry about your RAM and CPU, those are two different parts, their speed is independent of each other.

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

I live in India. The currency is Indian Rupees. So its about 60,000 rupees. Apple to apple conversion gives you around 900 USD. Remember, we also need to incur the stupid taxes and the import duties so that raises the cost a bit.

I don't expect much out of this build but I think my motherboard supports overclocking non K processors. So could it run Battlefield 4 at high settings with a respectable and playable frame rate? I just hope my hardware doesn't bottleneck my CPU.

well definitely 750ti will bottleneck i5 6600 and you cannot overclock that cpu and also that motherboard u selected does not support overclocking.....

but first thing first do not buy from amazon.in their prices are stupidly expensive ...... buy from stores which sell pc parts in your area preferably big whole sellers where do you live that will help ...... if you live in metropolitan city you will get great prices ...... if you cannot buy from physical stores then buy from

1)primeabgb.com

2)mdcomputers.in

3)itdepot.com/in

there are also other sites which exclusively sell pc parts but these are the big ones check other ones too ....

=> so your total budget is 60k for desktop tower, monitor, keyboard and mouse and are u able to extend your budget or Not????

Definitely go with a stronger GPU, the 750ti is this builds main limiting factor.

Remember that an i3 and RX470 will give you better performance than an i7 and a 750ti.

You can buy a RX470 or a GTX 1060 (3GB) for around Rs. 17000, or a 960 for around Rs. 15000. I highly suggest one of these over a 750ti, even if it means a weaker CPU (since you plan on overclocking anyways, the only difference between the skews of i5's are clocks).

May Our Framerates Be High And Our Temperatures Be Low.

PSUs: EVGA B2/G2/GQ/GS, Corsair RMx/i, Grey-Label CXM, Everything Seasonic/Delta/Super Flower, XFX except XT

Use pcpartpicker.com

Heads Up! I squeezed in a bit of stuff. Sacrificed my i5 6600 and settled for an i3 6100 Skylake clocked at 3.7 and for the graphics card I chose a Zotac GTX 960 AMP Edition ( i don't know what that means) 2GB DDR5, an ASUS H110M 6th Gen DDR4, a Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 8 gig memory stick and a Corsair VS 650 watt

Probably can step down the PSU to 500 W, what do you think?

amp means a little better cooling ...... if you can wait for gtx 1050 to launch that will be great but 960 will still be good .....  do not buy corsair vs they are not made for gaming rigs check this ....

buy from tier 4 and above (in descending order 4,3,2,1) ....  450w will more than enough for your build .....

I couldn't find any good Corsair PSU, so getting a 450VS (I don't think I need much of a "gaming rig" PSU) and seems pretty promising. Its modular and energy effecient, has all the right PCIe connectors too. What say?

if you are taking about corsair vs power supply then vs models are not modular and also energy efficiency does not mean a good quality psu with good components that will last long ....

get this
