Moving My OS

Go to solution Solved by Vitalius,

So, to see your connected drives, you can press Windows Key + X and click Disk Management. This will show you all the attached drives on your computer.

The C: drive is the one you are currently using.

Here is an article by AOMEI that gives a step-by-step process for migrating an OS from one drive to another with Windows built-in tools.

It's for Windows 7, but should work for 8, 8.1, and 10 as well.

I want to buy a better SSHD for my computer and I would like to know how to move the OS. Can anyone give me advice on how i would do that without 3rd party software(like using windows backup instead)? A step by step list would be nice or even a youtube video! thankyou!

*Just to sneak another question in. How do I know(using windows) find what hard drive I'm currently using? I forgot. thanks!

Ok, I found the answer myself. I'm currently using a ST100LM014-1EJ164 Seagate 1TB SSHD 2.5" 5400 RPM

For my pertinent links to guides, reviews, and anything similar, go here, and look under the spoiler labeled such. A brief history of Unix and it's relation to OS X by Builder.
