ok so im building my pc early to late december.

This is my build excluding the gpu (theirs a reason for that)

https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=198887&action=wish_lists

The extra ram and second hdd is for recording

Questions for this section

1. Am i able to use the OEM op for my build.

2. is the monitor good, (ill be upgrading to 120hz in about 6 months - a year)

3. will it all fit in that case

The reason i did not put the GPU in is becouse the GPU that i want is $70 off and once these stocks are gone they wont be ordering more. So i was wondering if i bought the GPU now and stored it for 2 months in a cubord would it still be ok.

And is this GPU good.

Thanks for your help/ advice.

And this is my first build.

Will linus' build guides help me build with these components i dont want to get anything wrong

Thanks again

1. Yes, It will be tied to the motherboard

2. Yes

3. Yes

4. The GPU would be fine sitting in a cupboard for awhile but you would probably be able to find better deals later on.

5. Dunno Palit must be Austrailia only as I've only heard of them twice or so.

Looks like a pretty solid build, and that 780 will knock the socks off any game in the near future, but if you are building in December why not wait for the AMD R9 series benchmarks or if you prefer Nvidia hold out a feewww more months till Maxwell is released. Building a PC is rather like much more expensive adult LEGO's, if you consult the manual and take your time, you'll do fine. (excuse any grammatical/logical errors, it's late.... I'm tired :) )

You haven't been on this forum long enough to know that we don't like headsets. :P

1. Yes you can

2. I'd go for an IPS monitor if that one isn't.

3. Yes

Any reason you're getting 16GB of RAM and an i7 though?

I see. Looks good then.

For GPU, I'd choose when you're getting it. With the arrival of the new AMD GPUs, prices are still settling.

You may want to choose everything right as you're getting it. You can save a lot of money if you look around and find some deals at the last minute when you're buying everything in your build.

i7 4770k, 16GB Corsair Vengeance

Gigabyte z87, Phanteks Enthoo Primo

I say buy it later. Technology always gets cheaper.

Plan later. December is a while from now and parts/prices change frequently.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/
