Air cooler that fits?

Parco300

Hi guys,

I have a Corsair 100R case, want an air cooler that will keep the temps low (overclocking i5 6600k), was looking at the noctua d14/ 15, not sure if its overkill.

I'm open to any suggestions:)

Thanks in advance

There is no such thing as overkill when it comes to cooling your overclocking components. All it means is more headroom to push your clocks higher. If you want that noctua and it fits your case (100R only has 150mm of clearance) then by all means go for it. Realistically you should be just fine with something like a Cryorig H7 though, and its really not that expensive either.

If you're worried about parts fitting together, check out PCpartpickers page on your case or the cpu cooler you're thinking of getting. You can view compatible parts and also other peoples builds so you can see for yourself

Where are you shopping/located?

If you're spending so much on a cooler, you might as well get an i7. Otherwise, the better value would be the i5 along with a cheaper cooler.
