Hi there,

I was looking for a replacement to the Intel stock cooler. I am running an i5-4440 (a locked processor) and was thinking of getting an aftermarket cooler for the lower temps and quieter operation. I've been looking at 2 coolers. Budget is up to 25 GBP.

Option 1: Cryorig M9i

Option 2: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo

Thanks.

either of those should be quieter and give you better thermals, might as well go with the cheaper option

What are your current temps? Have you tried lowering fan speeds?

Those temps are alright--you're fine up to 80-90c at load.

If the cooler is too loud, try lowering the fan speeds a bit.
