How is the idea of using a GoPro+ as a Webcam for Streaming and Recording Vidoes for YouTube.

 

Any disadvantages over a Conventional DSLR?

Honestly just get like a C920 if you want a webcam

 

A go Pro vs a DSLR for video are two very different things...

I use my smartphones as webcam with DroidCamX app, works better than many webcams except those expensive high end one.

I already have a GoPro Hero+

To use a go pro as a webcam you would need an HDMI capture interface, same as a DSLR (unless its canon) and even then a webcam is easier to use without any messing and easier to mount on your monitor

 

A go pro really is designed for action footage and the odd timelapse, and would not replace a DSLR for conventional video etc

Since I already have one with no money for anything else. I think I should start with itm

But you need to purchase a capture card.... if you want to use the go pro
