Headset extension cable question

I just bought Hypex Cloud Core headset, the attached cable is very short so i have to use 2 meter cable that comes with the headset. I notice that when i connect the headset directly to sound card (SBZ) it sound little it better than using 2 meter cable. the sound quality is noticeably better. Do all extension cable decrease the sound quality or is it because this cable is very long.

should i buy ugreen 1 meter extension cable if it's gonna work well?

or I can buy audio connectors and make one but there's only silver connectors available in my country. these connectors will cost only $1 and the cable will cost $4.31.

please advice.

thank you

Do you like how the sound is when you use no extension? Because it might just be that your sound card is shit.

A extension that is 1m should not make the audio quality worse

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

yeah the sound is better when connect the headset directly to sound blaster Z. lows, highs and mids are all clear. sound blaster z is not shit by the way, it's way better than realtek.

oh god, you did not just say that. Creative aka the makes of sound blaster are extremely hit and miss, lately they have fucked really up, by removing bass from their onboard solution. Creative is a brand that most "audiophiles" recommend that you stay away from, they just generally recommend not getting sound cards anymore. They have also made some small usb sound cards for laptops with that combo stick aka 4 pole jack, where the mic doesn't work on most of them, you can go out and buy like 10 of the same model and maybe 2 of them will have a working mic input, further more their small USB sound cards are known for having static. Asus uses realtek and they are not as much hit and miss weird huh?

For onboard Realtek is just plain better.

Back to topic. It should not lower the audio quality.
