Z170 series help.

Hey, I am currently trying to compose my first build. I would like to know the differences between the Z170 series. And which would suit better for a I5 6500 and a 1070

If you have a 6500 you don't need the z170 go for a h170, or b150, the z170 is meant for overclocking which isn't available for the 6500.

Wikiepdia search LGA 1151

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1151

More USB ports

Either 1 ×16; 2 ×8; or 1 ×8 and 2 ×4 instead of 1 ×16

20 × 3.0 - PCH PCI Express configuration

RAID

Z is for overclocking a K branded CPU

CPU (multiplier + BCLK[13]) + GPU + RAM

as apposed to all other mobos

CPU (via BCLK[13] only;[14] might be disabled in new motherboards and BIOS releases[15]) + GPU + RAM (limited)

Plus Z motherboards cost more money honey!
