Hello guys,

Throughout the last year I have RMA'd my PSU, motherboard and RAM trying to fix an issue I have with my PC.

My investigation came to a hold since I was busy building a new case (buildlog coming) and since it is finished now I have rebuilt my PC inside said case.

Now, about my issue. The PC keeps crashing without any error message or log. I have tried everything I know. I am running Windows 10 64bit, but this crash keeps happening even when I am in the BIOS, so it is not Windows' fault.

My PC:

i7-4770k
Corsair H100i
ROG impact VI

Gtx 780 DirectCUII
Corsair RM650
Corsair Vengeance 16GB - 1866 MHz
Several SSDs and Harddrives

Bios is the newest version, drivers up to date and everything except CPU is back from RMA or not faulty (I tested without GPU as well)

Does anyone have a clue?

Should I RMA the CPU just to be sure? (Still on warranty)

Thank you all for your help.

Instant off. Just like it would if it was overheating or loosing power all of a sudden. No bluescreen, no logs no dump-files.

Provided your temps are okay, sounds like you're having a memory or CPU cache issue.  Either of those will cause shut off like that.

For RAM, are you running 2 x 8 GB or 4 x 4 GB and in what configuration did you purchase them?

I had 2x8GB running before. I am now sitting on a single 4GB one that I took out of my other PC.  Originally I used Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz ones that run at 1.5V. Not I am using XMS3 running at 1333MHz.

Problem still occurs.

have you tried using different power sockets around your house?

yes, problem occurs on different sockets and on an uninterruptible PSU. Funny thing is, sometimes the PC runs for hours. I did a test today after some tinkering with the cables and it ran OOCT for an hour and Valley for 3 hours. No problem. Then suddently as I am watching a stream - crash.

I'd reset the CMOS as a starting point.  Try to pay attention to your voltages and make sure that your cache voltage isn't dropping too much.  You could actually try temporarily increases cache voltage to see if it improves the intermittent shut offs.  If increasing fixes the issue, at least you've identified it.

only link left in the chain is your cpu.

I know. Was hoping someone had a better idea than "RMA the CPU", but I may do that.

I am currently still testing. I have replaced cables with some from cablemod now and I have used two cables for the GPU instead of the 6pin /8pin -combo cable. Seems stable so far. Well.. if it does not work now, I'll RMA the CPU

Voltages are fine. I tested the PSU. I am still monitoring everything. I will have an eye on cache-voltage though. Thank you.
