Different brands

Why is it when a graphics card is sold under like 5 different companies and the cards are different? The cards look different and they also have different specs. To a person who isn't really into computer parts and building pc's, it is really confusing. How to know which one to get?

The main companies (AMD and Nvidia) make the raw, normal cards then let their buddy companies (EVGA, Asus, Sapphire etc.) tinker with it to sellthem as aftermarket cards, typically with better performance and/or slight tweaks in the clock speeds, fan types, display interfaces etc.

As for what one to get? Well it depends on what games you plan on playing, or if you plan on doing video editing or game streaming Once that's figured out, then set yourself a price point and then go for the price-for-performance card you can find. Whether you go with AMD or Nvidia is entirely upto you, don't let the Green Team or Red Team fanboys persuade you.

I won't know you're talking to me unless you reply/quote me.
