Audio Files "Class not registered"

Hi,

 

Recently, I have attempted to open audio files (such as .wav and .mp3) and double clicking them says "Class not registered". The only way I can open them is by right clicking and selecting "open with".

How do I resolve this?

rightclick on any .mp3 file - propertys -> on the first tab, third from the top it says "open with:" - change to w/e program is knowen to work with it and it will apply to all .mp3 files from now on and hence should take care of that issue.

 

Or, if you use VLC, you can actually choose what files extensions should automatically be assosiated with VLC, somewhere in the options. So if you have a bunch of different files types, the manual approach on doing that for every single different file-type may gets oughtweighted by the automatic one.
