Hey people...

I've upgraded my PC recently, but in the process of doing so my now redundant GPU (had a 660) died on me, so am in need of a new one.

I know I want to go for a 1060, and I'm torn between these two models...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01IA9FEOO/?tag=pcp0f-21 <- This is the Zotac model, not the AMP! one

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01IOWT538/?tag=pcp0f-21 <- This is the EVGA model. the SC one

Both cards are the mini versions, which I like the idea of, especially considering how efficient the new pascal architecture is meant to be.

I know the EVGA is clocked much higher, and if I could I would buy it, but I can't find it in stock anywhere, whereas the Zotac one I can.

So I ask the question, do you think there's much difference between the two cards? I'm in a bit of a hurry and I don't know when the EVGA card will be stocked... let me know what you think

Thanks!

Nathan

Er... don't overestimate efficiency. These gpus are more efficient, yes, but that's mostly because of higher performance than actual lower consumption. Unless you NEED a mini version (for whatever reason), you should stick to a regular dual/triple fan cooler.

It was more down to the cost saving, but in saying that, I've found the AMP Zotac model for £245 with free shipping, that seems a steal!

I'd get the Zotac one since it has been getting great reviews and doesn't seem to limit performance what so ever

Yes I'd say go for it if it's the cheapest around, people haven't complained about it's thermals while they have complained about the evga (non SC) mini's thermals (SC has a better heatsink than the non SC one)

If you like the looks of it, go for that card. Otherwise, consider paying a bit more for one that looks better (gigabyte's card comes to mind).
