AMD Eyefinity

Go to solution Solved by Shipley,

Issue resolved.

Turns out a single AMD Sapphire R9 290 cannot power two ultra wide 2560x1080 (each).

Hello,

I have just installed a new CPU and RAM into my PC setup (see image below)

I have also just added a new secondary monitor to my system as well (see link) https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01BV1XB2K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have two of these ultra wide monitors now where before I have one and a second random one.

Moving onto my problem I am having...

I was looking just as I first set up the computer after the new installs and everything was working perfectly including the two monitors bu then I clicked on AMD eyefinity and enabled the feature because it seemed cool. How much I regret it now because when ever I plug both of the monitors into the GPU (R9 290) both monitors go black and eventually the monitors don't receive a connection from the GPU and go into sleep mode. I am currently running of one of the two monitors and everything is working like a dream.

If anyone know how to help that would be excellent.

Thank you

Greg

I think eyefinity is for 3 monitors and up only, disable it

It will work on two monitors.

That's the problem I was able to enable it but now as it can't see a third monitor i assume it won't display anything in order to disable the setting.

Make sure your drivers are updated.
