I am planning on using a m.2 ssd for my boot drive on my new pc and one of my friends told me that when you are using a m.2 slot that is disables 2 of the sata slots, is this true? If anyone can help that would be great.

I will be using a gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 Ultra motherboard.
