GTX 1070 Artifacting

LightCode Gaming

So, I've had this issue off and on for the last month or two, but it's gotten a bit worse.

I get artifacts when previewing videos (YT or MP4s), but not when playing games. I've tried rolling back drivers, I've tried installing the newer ones.

It is significantly less frequent than it was before, but it still happens.

Anyone have a fix for it? Or should I try to get a replacement and see if it's the card?

I would check with Nvidia support before opening a ticket.

Have you tried deleting ALL Nvidia drivers and letting the onboard driver take effect?

Actually, no. I was always told the on-board is the worst choice you could do, but I could try it.

The GPU comes with basic drivers. I do not mean that you have to take your GPU out.

Hmm, I also have a 1070 here but never occurs any problem like you. Maybe if none of the solutions above works, you should chat with Nvidia Support or contact where you buy your VGA to return and get a new one.

Do what you love, love what you do :)

Well, I bought it through newegg; so their 30-day replacement has long since passed.

But its an MSI, so it does have a 1yr at the least.

Just reseated it and my computer seems to have booted faster than usual. Going to test and see if it's changed anything

Re-seating it seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks!
