Hey guys, so I'm moving. As of now my pc sits in a very cold basement usually around 60F sometimes even cooler. The CPU is water-cooled because there's no kill like overkill. I'm moving to a house where the pc will not be in such cold temps. More like 70F. I'm running a I5 6600K with a corsair H110I GT AIO water-cooler. I'm also running a gigabyte gtx 1070 g1 gaming gpu. In the basement I see 20C on the CPU under load. And the gpu sit around 50 to 55c under load. Basically, what temps would I need to see before getting worried and messing with fan curves again. By the way everything sits in the Nzxt H440 case.

anything under 60C is amazing

EDIT: you only really need to worry when it's 85 to 90+

Is that on either component. Also I know there's other components to worry about too. Like vram on the mobo and what not. I've never had to deal with higher temps before I want to make sure my pc won't melt lol.

20c under load? Blood hell that is good, maybe too good, you sure your readings are right?

Like I said it's water-cooled and ambient temps are even lower so I believe they are pretty accurate. I'm using real temp to get my readings on my CPU. And I have a midled over clock.

What CPU are you running?  Because that is insane if true. What program are you using to load it?

6600k with a 4.2 oc I set it through the bios. Dude I have to wear sweats and a sweatshirt if I'm gaming lol. I live in pa. Temps are usually 80f during the day.

I obviously figuratively melt. I don't want anything to get too hot.

80f is 27 degrees Celsius, so if your computer is reporting 20 something is not right. Also sweats and sweatshirt for 27dc? Thats shirt off temperature that.

Sorry I must have confused you. Outside of my house is 80 usually. Inside my basement right now is 55F. 20c is about 68f so that doesn't seems to far off.

Ah right, yes now I see, but I still question the load temp of only 20 degrees, this sounds more like idle. Also Is this load temps in games, or on something like prime95?

I'm not saying your BS us, what I was thinking is that you might have dodgey sensor.  But when you said load, I was under the impression you meant something like prime, so yes, those temps are fine.

Okay. Lol. Glad we straightened it out. I take load as real world usage. Not running a synthetic benchmark tool. I don't normally do that kind of stuff. I just game.

Yeah, I don't like using games for 'load' as not all games stress the CPU the same, and some games barely even make it warm up, so when people use games and real world use I have no idea as to how much stress your CPU is actually under.

I see your point. But back to my original concern. Moving to a house that will not be close to as cold. I'm not used to seeing higher temps. So I'm not sure whatshe normal and what's bad. I would say my new place will probably be sitting around the 68 to 70F range.

With how well your cooler is currently performing I would say its nothing to worry about, but add 13-15F to your current temps and that is what you should expect temperature wise, are you comfortable with those temps? If so ignore it (Those temps will be fine) or if not up the curve to get it to what you want.

Okay sounds good. Thanks for helping.
