Video card upgrade

Go to solution Solved by Shubham Yadav,

That's almost 1080p. I would say to go for the RX 470 4GB or the GTX 1060 3GB. The 1060 is a little bit faster and will overclock better but the 470 is more future-proof with 4GB VRAM.

Hello, i am planning to upgrade my REALLY old video card, GTS 450, which is currently paired with an i5-3550. Can you recommend something for a 1680x1050 resolution and a stable 60 fps for most modern titles? I am looking for something that will also be able to run Battlefield 1 when it comes out with descent settings!

Budget? Perhaps even a link to the store/website you're planning on buying your new GPU from?

Please, for god sake you understand that a 1680x1050 card would only need next to 200$ and the retailer doesn't really matter as long as you tell me what to go for!

Because I can read people's minds and see how much money they can afford to spend, right? Don't give me that attitude please.

Anyway, back on track. I would be thinking about a RX 470 or GTX 1060 3GB. Both are fine options.

My apologies, but i mentioned 1680x1050 resolution which is a low resolution, that should be clear that i don't need a gtx 1080 to play with high settings on that kind of res!

Of course not, but I still don't have any clue how much money you can spend, don't I?

$200-300

I know, I know, but that was before you told me. My suggestions are as above. Either the GTX 1060 3GB or RX 470 4GB.
