I have a EVGA GTX 960 SSC (which i know is very old by today's standard) that i'm trying to overclock to as far as it can go. its currently overclocked 1505MHz stable but i'm trying to push it some more and hitting a brick wall. EVGA precision x shows it hitting voltage limit and no matter how much i increase the overvoltage in precision x it always drop backs down to 1.200 GPU voltage. i know the care as go more only if i can get it to go above the 1.200 voltage limit. i would notice it overclock itself to 1523 - 1528MHz on its own for a few seconds but then the voltage limit hits and it drops down. is there anyway to increase the voltage limit from 1.200??

There is a hard voltage limit on nvidia GPUs you cannot remove without BIOS modding, which I do not recommend.

Surprised a 960 needs more voltage. I guess the fans are drawing that extra bit the gpu needs. Ive flashed 4 out of my last 8 cards. What is the current power limit and how close are you to that?

The power limit is at its max 110% and I've never seen the power usage while under heave list go into the 80% it's always in the 75% -  79% range

But it can't be 1.200 volts can it? Especially when I've seen sites compare these cards over clock and stated that they have been able to get higher clock than mine at higher voltage like 1.218 - 1.245 etc

So you can't use the overvolt option and put it at 1300 mV?

nope. that's what i'm trying to do in evga precision x. no matter how much overvolt i add even the max +100 overvoltage it will still drop to 1.200 volts when running heaven as a stress. it will not go any higher than 1.200 volts no matter how much i increase the overvoltage. i know 1.2v isn't the limit. i've seem benchmarks on this card (the exact EVGA SSC) go above the 1.200 volt and stay there stable
