EXCaliberPC, Asus Zenbooks

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to buy a few Asus Zenbooks for myself and the family, and I've come across EXCaliberPC on Amazon, who have quite a nice selection of them. I'm outside the US, so their international shipping is a huge plus. their various SSD options sweeten the deal as well. So I have a few questions before hitting Checkout:

-Has anyone had any experience with EXCaliberPC before? They add various RAM and storage upgrades to the laptops they sell, so I was wondering about the warranty and packaging of the laptops, ie. is the Asus warranty void? Do the laptops come in the original package?

 

-Second part is about the laptops themselves. I'm familiar with the Zenbook Pro ux501vw, however I have a few questions about the ux306ua, ux310ua and ux510uw: Are these laptops made out of Aluminium? Are the Screens covered in glass? Is it edge to edge glass or surrounded by plastic bezels? And finally is the i7-6500u a big downgrade over the i7-6700HQ for multimedia and light games?

If you buying a laptop internationally, keep these things in mind:

1. You'll probably have to pay custom/import taxes and duties fees which is gonna raise the cost of the laptops by quite a lot

2. If something goes wrong, you'll have to ship it internationally and you may have to pay import taxes again

3. Not thought of one as those are the 2 main ones

Thanks for the heads up! Luckily I'm located in Kuwait atm which has no import tax on consumer electronics, so that takes care of 1 & 2. Good point on 3 though
