Really anything. FX 6300 will do, but I would recommend just going for an Intel (4590) or higher.

You can go Skylake, but the motherboard are typically more expensive and you'll have to go for the slightly more expensive DDR4 RAM. There is only really a 10-15% improvement than 4th Gen CPUs. For example a 4690k is only 10ish% percent worse than the 6600k. And its usually about $20 cheaper plus the money you could save on an older motherboard and older RAM.

Do you have a current setup you are upgrading or just formulating a build?

I'm currently building a new computer with a 4gb saphire rx 480 and hopefully 16gb of ram. I think at best i'd go for an i5 6500 but i was just wondering whether i could get similar streaming performance for a lower price.

Streaming isn't really that hard to achieve. 6500 is great. I would be more concerned about your Internet connection. Are you going to be using Ethernet? And I would think a 1060 would be better for games than the 480. What's the price difference for you? And honestly you don't need 16bg of ram. I have been using 8gb ddr3 for 2 years and I have never ever used all of it.

I recently upgraded my internet connection and it is sufficient for streaming and yes i will be using Ethernet. So you think i should instead opt for 8gb of ram instead of 16 and just go for a 1060?

I don't know for sure which would be better, but I have heard the 1060 is better for games. Unless your a like the man himself. Linus. With 1000 chrome tabs. 16 GB really isn't necessary.

Very nice, I know someone is going to say that that psu is going to burn up your computer, but I don't know much about whats makes a PSU suicidal or not. So I am not going to say anything against it. I would recommend going for this card: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/wz648d/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-d5-6g-video-card-gv-n1060d5-6gd

its cheaper and has double fans. You do know Window 10 isn't free right? You have another source of a copy? its usually $100, but I have seen it cheaper at different places. I also would really recommend getting a cheap $60 SSD like a OCZ Trion 150 240GB or a PNY Cs1311 240GB. If you do that, you can put your Windows and most used apps and games on it so they go speedy fast. It doesn't sound that important, but it really is. Its changes the whole way you look at your computer. With a HDD as your boot drive, your Computer is still good, but just using it is really unappealing. Just talk to anyone who went from hdd to ssd as boot drive. It does make your computer a little more complicated because you have to decide what programs go where and what not, but if you can build a computer i am sure you can figure it out. Here is a simple guide on that:

My System:

Intel Core i5-4690k  / Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Asus Z97-AR MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 100me Corsair Vengeance LP 1600Mhz 2x4GB DDR3 Samsung 850 EVO 250GB / Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM HDD / NZXT S340 EVGA SuperNOVA G1 650W / Windows 10 Home 64 / AOC G2460PQU 1080p 144hz / Corsair VOID Wireless RGB Razer Taipan Laser Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2014

This doubling glitch has to stop. Just saying though, its going to cause you major headache if you wait to get it. Because what'd have to do is install windows on the SSD, and copy whatever is one your HDD to the SSD. You will only have like 120GB of space to do that. So IF you fill your 1TB HDD only 100-200GB would be saved. Then you have to wipe your HDD completely and copy whatever you managed to save back onto the HDD. Highly recommend getting an ssd first. I would just wait till you can afford it. It makes your PC so much more impressive and easier to use.

I am not suggesting to sacrifice your GPU for an ssd, but I'd rather have a few less frames than to have a computer that lags and stutters on simple stuff like opening the start menu or whatever.

For streaming you want a FX-8300(minimum), i7-4790K/6700K or best of all a i7-5820K/6800K! :D (K only if you want to OC)

Zen-III-X8-5900X (Gamestation 5)

If you're into streaming FX-8320/50 are your best bet within that budget, a low-end i5 might not be enough to stream AAA titles. I could stream ROTTR and Witcher 3 with my FX-8350 @4,5gHz without issues.

Well my buget allows me to either go with a 8350 + 1060 or a 6500 + rx 470. Which combo do you think i should opt for?

For streaming? I'd surely choose FX-8350 + GTX 1060, but make sure you get the 6GB version of the 1060. 3GB one is not worth it.
