Any problems with my rig?

Hello everybody,

 

I am intending on building my first powerful gaming rig and I was wondering if anybody on here could review my component choices and tell me if there are any better options. Most of the products have been chosen for their look (I want a mainly white rig).

 

Case: NZXT H440 White

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z170 S
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k

CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H115i 280mm

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x 16GB) DDR4 3200MHz White

Graphics Card: EVGA Nvidia GTX 1080 FTW

Power Supply: Corsair RM850x Fully Modular

Boot SSD: Intel 750 400GB NVMe

Gaming SSD Raid: 2x Intel 730 240GB

Storage Drives: 3x Western Digital RED 4TB NAS (in a 12TB RAID)

OS: Windows 10 Professional

That's a pretty ballin rig, no problems at all. You need a Asus hyperkit for that Intel 750 if you don't have one

Any reason for going 32GB and so much storage?

I dont see anything that would cause any sorts of problems.

Do you really need 32 GB's of RAM? The PSU is overkill. You don't need more than a 600W. Do you really need Windows 10 Pro?

I'm going for 32GB of RAM and massive storage because I do quite a lot of video and photo work. Another reason for the massive storage is that my current backup solution is DVDs which isn't ideal

X99 would be better for your usage. Not sure if there is a white motherboard like the Sabertooth though.

Then you might as well go for the 5820K instead of the 6700K.

Thanks a lot guys, just wanted to check if there was anything that would cause a problem that I might have missed. Didn't want to commit to this and find out that there's something incompatible with something else
