Is 1060 worth getting

My pc currently has an intel core i5 6500 and a gtx 970. I have gathered enough funds for a 1060.

Will it be worth the upgrade?

That's a marginal upgrade if anything. I wouldn't do it.

No, not really. Performance is almost on par. Only if you want to save a bit on your power bill

No, If you can't afford a 1070 this generation, wait for the gtx 1100 series. Alternatively, you could sell your 970 and make up the rest to buy a 1060, but even then it's hard to justify.

If you'll be getting the 6GB 1060, it might be a good upgrade.

I would wait for the funds for a 1070 unless the 970 is under-performing for your liking.
