WOL + Link Aggregation issue

Hi,

I'm fairly new to smart switches and using link aggregation and have encountered my first problem.

I recently got a d-link dgs-1224t and have trunked 2 ports to my server now the wake on lan doesn't work from out side of my network. Inside it still works fine. Nothing else has changed however the same ports are forwarded to the correct IP address.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Now that you have trunked ports, the WoL packet mught be getting delivered to the "wrong" interface. WoL packets include the MAC address of the target computer in them (I'm sure you knew that part already) but I wouldn't be surprised if your router/switches are managing to deliver the packet to the wrong interface of the two in your system. My only advice is to make sure that both ports are enabled for WoL, and try waking used both MAC addresses.
