Incompatible GPU with H97 chipset

Recently I bought Sapphire R9 385 ITX Compact 3GB to upgrade my gt720 graphic card on H97 motherboard. When I try to install the driver, blue screen pop-up saying incompatible with the driver. Any solution?

Did you uninstall the Nvidia dirvers?

I don't think the motherboard is the problem. Sounds like more of a software issue to me. As I understand it, your new card works fine on mcrosoft's generic driver? Did you remove your old drivers?

I already remove the old gpu driver using DDU. When I try a new motherboard with the same Chipset, still the same problem. Here whats weird to me, I try on LGA 1156 motherboard and it work perfectly

You could try installing older drivers to see if that works.

Same problem. I even try the very first driver for the R9 385. Right now I'm testing the card on z170 platform and it works perfectly

I'm out of ideas honestly. You could try going to Event Log after blue screen shows up when you try to install drivers to see what windows (I'm assuming win10?) has to say about it.

Never try that but is there any chance the R9 385 not compatible with h97 chipset?

I've never heard of such things as chipset/GPU compatibility. Besides I'm pretty sure that kind of issue would be already present with microsoft's generic driver so you shouldn't be able to even get your system to post, not to mention booting into windows. Can't rule it out though, I'm not perfect.
