I'm planning to buy a RX 480 Nitro+ card but can't decide if I should get the 4gb or the 8gb which is 70USD more expensive than the 4gb version in my country. So is the 70USD worth it for another 4gb of vram?

PS. I plan on using the card for at least 3-5 years :) TIA

Probably 8gb. What resolution are you playing at?

But what's the total cost for each? (i.e. $70 is a much bigger difference if the cost of each is $100 and $170 vs. $700 and $770).

Maybe at 1080 for now but I may change to higher. The nitro+ 4gb cost 245USD and the 8gb is 315USD

Oh wow, 245 to 315 is a huge step... Here in germany, it's 210€~ for 4gb, and 255€ for 8gb.

How much does a GTX 1060 6gb start at?

If it's similar to the RX 470 8gb, i would go for the GTX 1060.

Yeah it is thats one of the reason im hesitating :). The Zotac Mini 6gb of Gtx 1060 is around 246USD and the Palit Dual fan 6gb GTX 1060 is 285USD. But my mind is already set on RX 480 Nitro+ card im just wondering if the extra cost for the 8gb version will be worth it
