Hey guys! I'm looking to build a PC for gaming in a YouTube channel so I will need to run all kinds of games on high settings whilst running recording software! My colleagues will be doing the majority of editing but I may also have to do some editing so I will need a PC that can not only run games well but also edit well!

I previously had this build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/bobbygee69/saved/ZZgTwP

but it due to prices I changed my build to this:

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/6vbW3F

which do you guys think is better quality or alternatively how do you think I could improve the builds whilst keeping within my 1100-1300 pounds budget?

Many thanks!

Build with the i7 is solid, the hyperthreading will help you.

The only thing I would consider changing is that headset.

The quality is questionable.

But if you already own it, then oh well.

I was told it was the best 'budget' headset around... What would you recommend instead?

I would suggest using a server grade Xeon and an X99 board for around the same price. (eBay has plenty of engineering samples of 10-14 core Xeons as new as Broadwell E)

BOINC Setup:
i5 7200U @ Stock

Core2Duo T6600 @ Stock

i3 2330M @ Stock

i5 3210M @ Stock

You don't need many cores for gaming and you're better off with a 5820K and an X99 Board that costs just as much as 6700K with Z170

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K | Motherboard: AsRock X99 Extreme4 | Graphics Card: Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming | RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws4 2133MHz | Storage: 1 x Samsung 860 EVO 1TB | 1 x WD Green 2TB | 1 x WD Blue 500GB | PSU: Corsair RM750x | Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro (White) | Cooling: Arctic Freezer i32

Mice: Logitech G Pro X Superlight (main), Logitech G Pro Wireless, Razer Viper Ultimate, Zowie S1 Divina Blue, Zowie FK1-B Divina Blue, Logitech G Pro (3366 sensor), Glorious Model O, Razer Viper Mini, Logitech G305, Logitech G502, Logitech G402

£1300 can get you a 6800k (most likely 6700k though) and 1070 you know @MrTzXk

Well, he can save some money around $50 and get a 5820K... You don't lose much...

It's GBP. The difference is only £30 but I guess that could make a difference.

Broadwell-E is still not good at overclocking, Haswell-E on the other hand, is extremely good with many CPUs (5820Ks and 5930Ks) having the ability to reach 4.7GHz...
