BF4 performance

A93nt47

Currently running a 7950 with BF4 the equivalent next gen amd cards don't seem to jump up performance. Granted its beta drivers but how much do you guys think it will improve?

I think it will improve majorly. BF4 Beta is more like an Alpha. Very poorly optimized.

Equivalent cards aren't going to bring more performance :P

I laugh at everyone who says it's a beta. It ain't a beta, it's a demo. Which means chances are, PC gets a turd of a game.

game = beta

driver = beta

users :WHY U SLOW !!!!!

I actually find the performance acceptable to be honest. I tend to not upgrade until I feel the performance drop below par.

With mantle being compatible with the 7k series cards I'm having a hard time justifying an upgrade. I did consider Xfiring another 7950 but am afraid of frame timings.

It runs pretty good now for a beta. On ultra I get average 65-70fps. And this is beta. Good work dice..it took you a few patches but good work.

290 (non-x) will also be a lot faster than 7970Ghz edition judging by the spec-sheet.

I didn't even realize there was a non-X version... boy I sure do hate this new naming scheme :P

The 290 (non x) is actually the card I'm most excited for, because I expect it will be better value for money than the flagship card which is probably out of my budget anyway.
