Hello,

I recently bought myself a new PC but now I have a problem. I can't install the motherboard correctly. The standoffs in the case are in the right position but the holes on my motherboard don't align for some reason. I am using a Coolermaster N300 case with a Gigabyte G1.Sniper (Rev. 1.0) motherboard (Socket 1150). There is a little cushion thing on the IO shield but I don't know if I need to take that off.

I hope you guys can help me.

Pics would be nice, standard is Pop the IO shield in place from inside the case (make sure you have it a decent push) and it clicks. Then holding the board at an angle, slide it into the IO shield then reudce the angle to make standoffs contact with below the holes on the motherboard.

make sure the standoffs in the case are in the right position and if they aren't then just remove some because it doesn't have to have all of them but just like 4 or 5 to keep in place somewhat good, for the cushion thing i would want a pic so i can understand what you're seeing

sometimes you have to put a little bit of presure on the back plate to compres the padding. Had the same thing with my ROG board. Do make sure all the I/O ports line up correctly and come in with the board under a slight angle. Line up and gently place the MB on the stand-offs while compressing the padding. Should work then. Screw in the screw closest to the I/O in first while keeping some pressure on it.
