Screen capturing software that's light on the CPU?

I'm going to be doing a driver comparison on my laptop, so I need software that is light on the CPU and doesn't run off the GPU as OpenCL is straight up broken on newer drivers and not supported on older ones at all. Any recommendations? The CPU is a Phenom II N970 (2.2GHz true quad core), with 4GB DDR3 1333, and a Mobility Radeon HD4250+HD5650/5770 (OC by 100MHz).

If it was a Nvidia or Intel build, I would recommend using OBS with Quicksync or NVENC. Honestly, I would say a capture card, but that would be quite pricey.

It would be at 1366x768, as there seems to be issues with the secondary GPU being under even a light load while a second screen is in use.
