What phone to buy?!

Tris15

Hey guys,

I can choose a new contract in 1/2 months. Iam busy searching for a good phone!

I live in the Netherlands, I buy from this site: https://www.studentmobiel.nl/shop/toestel_met_abonnement (it basically a comparing site from providers, dont need to understand Dutch)

My max price is about 25 euro per month. And any ideas about the new nexus 5? how much is it gonna cost on contract?

What I use my phone for:

- Some games

- much YouTube! so a nice screen would be nice

- many social media

- NEEDS TO BE QUICK > :o no lag!

would be nice if you guys could help me out :)

Thanks!

EDIT* I dont really care about the OS, but no Blackberry (no hate but i just dont like them)

HTC One/S4. I would get the HTC if I were you, I kind of regret my S4 purchase.

Oh do you now? Why is that?

Nexus 4 or Nexus 5.

Why would you ever suggest a nexus 4 when he wants good video playback, a.k.a. a 1080p phone.

I did not want to just suggest the Nexus 5 because its not out yet, so i suggested the Nexus 4.

Anything less than 1080p should not be on the choice list, it makes so much stuff better.

Just got a note 3, probably won't 'love' the user experience until rooted because my last phone for 2 years was HTC EVO. The user experience with HTC OOB is "so awesome, thanks for showing me that!",  Samsung is "why are you doing this to me". However if you custom mod in the future I don't think anything current beats the NOTE 3 in terms of power beauty and love of using it, and therefore future support. The coming roms will be absolute BOSS. Custom rom will miss on the stylus functionality but I like stylus just for precision/comfort. To me the best device gets the best custom rom support. After the first year, mod your phone and it is like getting a new phone for free. Faster, better battery. so fun.

In 2 months Nexus 5, if I couldn't get my Note for $250 I would have waited for new Nexus. It is supposedly the current LG highest end which looks very nice.

You should start calling your cell provider and negotiate contract in anticipation of your upgrade, they really relate to "have to have desire" so be specific and see what deal you can swing. I don't know if they do that in Nederland but in Canada it really defines the value/best phone.

On the fringe there are some interesting phones not pushed by the big carriers. Oppo and Asus both have some forthcoming 1080p's that look nice.
