I think my Corsair H60 has finally decided it don't wanna work anymore (not optimally at least) as I noticed today I hit 100C while playing GTA V while staying at 30-60% CPU load on my i7 4770K @3.9GHz. So what is a good cooler for a 4770K, preferably not an AIO as Im soured on them with this H60 experience.

I have a I7 4790k and use https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005O65JXI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and I've never hit a 100C with it even using the AIDA cpu stress test for an extended period of time. They even have beefier models of it with more pies and a bigger fan. Also make sure you have some decent thermal paste on there, and that it's not too old either. That stuff does go bad eventually.

Yeah I think Im going to try a clean application of thermal paste in the next day or two, I was at the store but the frustration of having a 1070 order overrides my thoughts of thermal paste lol I'm hoping it will drop come temps as 56C idle in a case thats 27.7C seems horrific and I never thought I would see the day getting 100C at 50% load or less

I have the 4770K and I have totally hit 100C (I've seen 107c before)

i think that some of them have their IHS put on wrong, which makes heat dissipation hard.

Make sure your pump still works.
