Hello all I'm new to this forum and would like some help on choosing the build of a very cheap "gaming" computer.
I would like to build a computer which is capable of playing some light games such as CS GO, DOTA 2 and League of Legends.
I am currently tossing between two builds and would like to ask which one will provide more performance (already have a hard disk/PSU/Case)

Build #1

Intel Celeron G3900 2.8GHz Dual-Core Processor

ASRock H110M-DGS Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Patriot Signature Line 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Gigabyte Radeon R7 360 2GB Video Card

Build #2

AMD A10-7860k 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor
MSI A68HM-GRENADE Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard
G.Skill Value 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
(APU so no discrete GPU needed)

Thank you for your time and help to all those which reply and help.

Build 1 will provide much better perfornance because of the discrete gpu. Cuople of things tho:

1- If you can stretch just a little bit id go for the pentium g4400. You Will have much better performance that way.

2- why won't you go for the rx 460? I mean the 360 is a great card but maybe the 460 can fit your budget?

I5 4440//8gb Corsair Vengeance ddr3//Sapphire Radeon r9 380 4gb//ASUS h81m-plus//WD caviar blue 1tb//Cooler Master N200//Cooler Master G500

athlon x4 with a 360? So the CPU isn't a complete  bottleneck...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

In Australia the rx460 is quite a bit more expensive and that my budget is only $400 AUD.
I also cannot get the g4400 due to the tight budget.
I have a thermaltake 500W power supply

Thank you for responding all

What is the model of the psu? Thermaltake has made crap psus and good psus, just listing their name isn't enough.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

It will probably be fine...it's decently low power hardware so it won't be stressed too badly :P

Fist off , I would like to welcome you to the LTT forum. Newcomers are always welcome.

And second , I would go with a AMD CPU if you have a tight budget. Last advice i can give you is to hold on out a bit longer and collect your money so you can get a better pc for yourself.

not the best...in fact by our terms it's not really even mediocre but it should be "fine" for this build :P

$10 overbudget while having quite a lot more raw power ;)

Edit: @herman mcpootis's build is better for games like CS and other CPU single/dual core heavy games while having a possible CPU upgrade path so...go with his?

thanks for the replys but...
i have been onto the CPL website and the RAM/MOBO seems to be at "end of life"

Which build are you referring to? Use the quote button in the future, so that we'll know you replied, and to avoid mix-ups. Its the arrow pointing left.

well we both used the same ram...and for the motherboard, I just checked and it's the build I listed :P

@AKCC You know you can choose any motherboard on PCpartpicker for those CPUs right? Pcpartpicker would make sure those parts are compatible so don't just base the whole build on what we link :P
