So in prep for Battlefield 1 I am upgrading my system with a xeon 1231v3, 24gb ram, and an r7 260x to a gtx 1070 that is on the way. Will this be enough to play BF1 on highest settings on a 2560x1080 ultrawide at 60fps?

Well i have Xeon E3-1231 V3, 16GB DDR3 Ram and RX480 and the alpha runs fine at 2160x1080p :D

Edit: Is this the monitor you use? if so is it good? i need to change mine and it looks good. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/lg-25-219-2560x1080-full-hd-ultrawide-ips-led-gaming-monitor-25um58-p-lg/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=product_listing_ads&gclid=CjwKEAjw26C9BRCOrKeYgJH17kcSJACb-HNAvD9GBZx3phNLkBvwGKiopvPtvKrWRZuoghZL4zvd6BoC0vnw_wcB

I heard that it performs like star wars battlefront, so how do you do in that if you have played.

Well the alpha is not the final game so performance may vary from what i got and yes i did play, i got 50-90FPS average at absloute max setting 2160x1080p

Man that rx480 is a great price to performance card

well it good enough for 50FPS any game rn and around 2018 im guessing ill have to start to dial down the settings UNLESS more games use vulcan cause i was getting 40% more FPS in doom!

I dont wanna burst your bubble, but Vulkan will not make your games run much faster then on DirectX 11/12.

OpenGL is just very slow, especially on AMD driver, its not that hard fo perform better.

Desktop: Intel i9-10850K (R9 3900X died 😢 )| MSI Z490 Tomahawk | RTX 2080 (borrowed from work) - MSI GTX 1080 | 64GB 3600MHz CL16 memory | Corsair H100i (NF-F12 fans) | Samsung 970 EVO 512GB | Intel 665p 2TB | Samsung 830 256GB| 3TB HDD | Corsair 450D | Corsair RM550x | MG279Q

Laptop: Surface Pro 7 (i5, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD)

Console: PlayStation 4 Pro

Be careful not to fall into the trap of assuming +40% FPS from Vulkan in Doom means you'll necessarily see that performance anywhere else. It's all in the implementation.
