can this do 144Hz?

Can these specs run a 144 Hz 1080p monitor? Also, if i get frame rates in games below 144 fps, will it look bad or not? 
Specs:
FX 8350
GTX 1060
games i will be playing: Fallout 4, GTA V(future), beamng.drive, Gmod, Minecraft, CS:GO, Etc.

no. an i5 4690K bottlenecks at 1080p 144 hz

the FX 8350 will surely be far worse

i know its a 1070 but the meaning is still the same

if an i5 overclcoked cant keep up with a 1070

the FX 8350 cant keep up with a 1060

As long as you're at or above 60FPS, things should look fine even if you don't hit 144fps.

 

You'll be okay in CS:GO, as I hit 200+ fps routinely with an i5-4670k and a GTX 760.  I can't speak to the other games. I mean, basically you'll just want to see if your hardware can hit 144fps in those games to match up with the 144Hz.

I am asking this beacuse i am hearing that the 2 wouldn't pair so badly. I am currently running 1080p 60Hz. Should I stick to that and get the 1060?

If it doesn't bottleneck, 144 at 1080p shouldn't be a problem, not sure about that high on fallout or GTA, depends on your graphics settings. Moving into 1440p I think would even be alright, should hold 60 pretty steady on most games. But yeah with heavy titles like GTA, high FPS at higher resolutions or settings may be harder to achieve. Games like that are well playable at 60, 120+ is really only recommend on first person shooters
